Rapid Reader - with Spritz App Reviews

I bought this because it was the best of its kind that supported using instapaper with spritz reader technology. Its pretty good overall but lacking in some areas including the layout of the articles and the somewhat confusing and possibly superfluous parts of the UI but if you want to read fast then this is a good value and it works. What is strange is that its not easy to add stuff from other sources or browse to webpages to read. Since I use it via instapaper articles this is not a minor issue currently but would be nice if it could support regular text sources.

I like the app and the interface. Integrates with Pocket well. It is very slow though and seems to constantly have mini crashes.

I love what this app does and attempts to do. Unfortunately I get crashes or freezes nearly 50% of the times I attempt to load or read articles. Its not worth the price until it becomes more reliable.

When I open the app its completely unresponsive. I suspect its because I have a large amount of articles saved in my Pocket, but it should be able to handle that, other readers like ReadQuick can load all my saved an newly saved articles quickly without slowing down.

Want to love it, but it crashes err’time I try to use it with Pocket...

I had trouble with getting the app to work on my phone. Finally got the app somewhat working, but now the delete button doesnt work. Customer service was at first unhelpful and then completely unresponsive. The app was a waste of money.

To be honest, I have only used it once and the request for review came up. Nonetheless, it did exactly the very simple thing that it promised to do. It streamed the text at me one word at a time at the speed I selected. This is really a phenomenal way to push information to yourself without having to constantly focus on your speed technique. I think with practice, anybody can read 2-4 times their "normal average" reading pace, whatever that might be. When you push the speed up beyond anything your "inner voice" can keep up with, you find yourself all of a sudden sucking information into your brain like a vacuum. Then you learn to resist the temptation to go back and re-read some of the little tidbits you think you missed, because you actually got what you really needed out of the text even if you left some of the entertainment value behind, depending on the genre of the material. I look over the layout, scan for schema and consciously ask myself what I hope to gain from reading this, and then hit the go button and it works out.

Bought the app to use with instapaper. Signed in to my spritz and instapaper accounts. Would not sync. Read some forums inside the app and found out you had to be a subscriber to instapaper ($2.99 a month or $29.99 a year) to sync. Went back and read the fine print and its there. Bummer. Should have read more. Wasted $2.99

This is simply amazing. The Spritz technology is the best speed reading experience I have ever had and Ive tried them all.

Im getting into Spritz and think it is a cool system. This is a good way to utilize it, but has a couple of flaws. You cant size the words to optimize for whatever device youre on. Also, I cant delete an item here that I want to remove from Pocket. I used to be able too, but something happened that removed the capability. I do wish Spritz was available on the Kindle.

This is a useless app since you cannot add books… It has the potential but only if books could be added to it… I wish I could have my money back.

I read and comprehend a load of information with greater speed. I cant imagine not spritzing all my daily pocket articles now.

I love using it along with my Pocket account to go down my saved articles list. The only thing that could make it better would be being able to use it with Kindle but that is more on Amazons side.

Good idea bad execution

App crashes immediately and can not login to Spritz account. Ill give developers a week or so for news about an update with bug fix, otherwise will request refund.

Just bought this, and it crashes anytime I press one thing. Literally unusable. Please fix this so we can actually use the app. I cant use it at all.

I love this product, I want it to work. Currently with my iPhone 4s not recently updated ios I cannot work the app period. It worked great the first few days and now it just crashes and wont begin reading. I really want this to work. I have faith this product will revolutionize reading as we know it.

Crashes after about 10 seconds. Definitely not worth buying till it actually works.

I have to agree with the other reviews. Its a product I want to use but crashes more often than not. I would also like to see it cache pocket content so I can on the subway and airplane mode

The app seems cool. I wish it didnt just instacrash when I link it with Instapaper. Pocket seems to work okay but most of my saved articles are in Instapaper. So this app is of little use until they fix it. Or Instapaper... Whoever is responsible. I will try to get my money back.
